Frequently Asked Questions
How is this different from watching free tutorials online?
Free YouTube videos are great for learning random tricks, but they leave you piecing together information from dozens of different sources with no sense of clear direction from A to Bβ¦like how to go from dabbling in shooting social content to becoming a full-time filmmaker.Β
I built this course around one crucial outcome: a finished cinematic short film. Youβre not just passively watching lessons and hoping for the best. Instead, youβre creating alongside me, step by step, with downloadable tools, a clear process, and a community to share with.Β
And by the end, you'll have something real to show for it.
What makes this course different from other filmmaking courses?
Again, you're getting raw, uncut access to my actual creative process. The messy, real stuff most creators never show you. You'll watch me write, film, and edit a complete project from the very first idea to the final frame. No shortcuts and no post-production polish on the process itself. Just me working through the same challenges and steps as you.
You'll see exactly how I think, make decisions, and solve problems in real time. It's like having me in the room with you, showing you the truth behind the content you see online.
So the real difference is that you wonβt just watch passively and have nothing to show for it. Instead, you'll build your own project alongside me, step by step. By the end, you'll have a portfolio piece you're actually proud of, not just a head full of theory.
What will I actually make by the end?
By the end of this course, you'll have written, filmed, and edited your first complete cinematic short video, start to finish. Plus, you'll walk away with the mindset, confidence, and repeatable process to keep creating.
Do I need expensive gear to take this course?
Nope. You can shoot everything on your phone, I promise. This course teaches you the skills that actually make content cinematic, like composition, lighting, and sound.
From my perspective, the most important thing about gear is knowing how to get the most out of what you already have. Upgrade later if you want, but you don't need fancy gear to create work you're proud of (or to complete this course).
How long will it take me to finish?
The course is self-paced, so you can move at your own speed. But if you follow along and complete the project, you can realistically finish your first cinematic short in about 1-2 focused weekends.
No rush, though. You wonβt get a medal for finishing the fastest. The key is to really absorb the lessons and techniques, build consistent momentum, and actually finish something youβre proud to share.
What if I get stuck during the course?
You're not doing this alone. You can share your work and get feedback in the APCC Discord community, where you'll see examples from other students at your level.Β
Getting stuck is part of the process; I've been there too. The course is designed to help you move through it, not around it. And honestly? Sometimes the best breakthroughs happen when you're figuring it out. Keep going.
How long do I have access to the course?
Lifetime access. Once you're in, you're in β including any future updates I make to the course. Learn at your own pace, come back whenever you need a refresher, and keep building your skills over time.
Hey, I'm Adrian Per. I've spent the past 15+ years creating music videos, brand campaigns, short films, and national commercials (including Super Bowl spots). Before all this, filmmaking was nothing but me, a camera, and a dream. I created the Adrian Per Content College to give solo creators what I wish I'd had starting out: a clear, practical path to producing intentional, cinematic work without the need for fancy gear or big budgets. I can't wait to see what yβall create.
